Project Context and Scope

During the peak summer demand in northwest Mexico, PYE Electrificaciones deployed and commissioned a temporary power generation system for CFEnergía, ensuring a reliable supply of 100 MW. The project was executed in a record time of 60 days, combining advanced engineering, high-level operational coordination, and strict quality and safety standards.

The solution included the design, construction, installation, and operation of a temporary generation plant equipped with FT8 MOBILEPAC aeroderivative gas turbines, strategically interconnected to the Herradura Substation and the existing natural gas network, ensuring safe and efficient integration into the regional power system.

Technical and Operational Requirements:

  • 100 MW generation capacity with high availability and immediate response.
  • Full infrastructure deployment in a maximum of 60 days.
  • Strict compliance with CFE, CENACE, and environmental regulations.
  • Safe, efficient, and removable without impacting permanent infrastructure.

Execution and Challenges

The scale of the project required precise planning and coordinated execution among multidisciplinary teams. Each phase was carried out under strict safety, quality, and compliance protocols, ensuring deadlines and technical requirements were met without compromising system reliability.

    Adaptation of an elevating substation and construction of a 5.8 km overhead transmission line with 115 kV insulation, wooden poles, and 795 ACSR conductor.
